Uriel Ramos, 36, Hit and Killed by Car in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO (October 7, 2018) – A passenger fatally hit after exiting a car on the 10 Freeway early Saturday has been identified as Uriel Garcia Ramos, according to sheriff’s department and The Sun.
The 36-year-old Redlands man was killed in a collision which occurred at 2:15 a.m., east of Tippecanoe Avenue.
As per the reports, California Highway Patrol said Ramos was a passenger in a 2008 Chevrolet pickup which became disabled due to a flat tire. The truck blocked the center divider and part of the left lane on the eastbound 10 Freeway.

Ramos exited the car on the right side reportedly in an attempted to repair their pickup but and was then struck by a 2009 Honda Civic. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the Honda veered to the right and collided with a 2007 Lexus. The male driver of the Honda suffered major injuries while his passenger sustained minor wounds.
Both were transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment. Their names and condition at this time were not disclosed.
CHP added that the 33-year-old Redlands man driving the Chevrolet at the time, Carlos Osorio, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. The investigation is ongoing.
