2 Injured in Vacaville Crash Interstate 80 Near Cherry Glen Road
VACAVILLE, CA (September 24, 2022) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash on the Interstate 80 near Cherry Glen Road in Vacaville.
According to an article published by The Daily Republic, the accident took place on Monday morning. Officers reported the wreck on September 19 at about 7:41 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said seven cars collided in the city of Vacaville. The vehicles crashed on the westbound Interstate 80 near the Cherry Glen Road exit.
Multiple Cars Collide
The incident began when a driver in the fast lane veered to avoid hitting the back of slowing traffic in the area. The motorist soon struck two other cars.
Four more vehicles became involved in the process. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found two people hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed both patients to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries. The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced two fast lanes of the Interstate 80 to shut down for more than an hour and a half near Cherry Glen following the wreck. The cause of the Vacaville crash is still under investigation.
