Cyclist Dies in Collision Near Leisure Town Road
Vacaville, CA (August 13, 2022) – One person suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Elmira Road, the Mercury News reported.
Car Rear-Ends, Kills Bicyclist on Elmira Road in Vacaville
Our sources indicated a 33-year-old man was riding a bicycle heading west on Elmira Road. When the cyclist approached the area near Leisure Town Road, a sedan struck the bicyclist from behind. The force from the impact ejected the man from his bike, and thrown into the windshield of the car.
Shortly after 8:30 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the bicyclist found suffering in serious injuries. Despite life-saving attempts performed by medical personnel, the victim succumbed to his trauma and passed away at the scene. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver involved in the unfortunate event. Detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal collision that happened on Elmira Road in Vacaville.
