Driver Killed, Passenger Injured in Collision Near Alamo Drive Monday
Vacaville, CA (January 10, 2022) – One person died, and another suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 80 Freeway.
On Monday, a Toyota Sienna van reportedly collided into the back of a trailer pulled by a big rig. The FOX40 News reported the horrible crash took place at approximately 5 a.m.
Emergency crews responded to the northbound side of the freeway in the area near Alamo Drive. When rescue teams arrived, they found the driver and passenger of the Toyota Sienna suffering in major injuries. Paramedics then rushed the two patients to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center.
According to the article published online, the driver, a 43-year-old Dixon resident, sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. The name of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the passenger, a 44-year-old Fairfield woman, remained at the hospital for treatment.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the fatal car crash on Interstate 80 in Vacaville.
