3 Injured in Valencia Crash at Rye Canyon Road and Avenue Stanford
SANTA CLARITA, CA (August 9, 2022) – Several were hospitalized after a crash at Rye Canyon Road and Avenue Stanford in Valencia.
Witnesses said a Faucetman Plumbing Company service truck ran a red light at a high speed in the Valencia neighborhood.
In the process, the vehicle slammed into an AT&T service truck at the intersection of Rye Canyon Road and Avenue Stanford. The AT&T truck was pulling into the intersection to make a left turn at the time.
Driver Runs Red Light, Causes Wreck
A silver 4-door sedan and a silver Honda Civic then became involved in the collision. Firefighters arrived and soon rescued the trapped driver of the Faucetman Plumbing truck from the wreckage.
He survived with minor injuries while his male passenger sustained injuries to his face due to the impact of the crash. A third person ended up hurt as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel rushed all three patients to the Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, where they listed one in critical condition. The report did not release the names of the wounded parties.
Meanwhile, police forced the area of Rye Canyon Road and Avenue Stanford to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Valencia crash is still under investigation.
