2 Injured in Valencia Crash on State Route 126 Near Travel Village
SANTA CLARITA, CA (February 21, 2023) – Two were hospitalized after a DUI crash on State Route 126 near Travel Village in Valencia.
According to The Signal and Hometown Station, the accident took place on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on February 19 at about 4:24 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a Jeep slammed into a Ford pickup truck in the Valencia neighborhood of Santa Clarita. The two collided on State Route 126, east of Travel Village.
Drunk Driver Hits Another Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the two occupants of the Ford who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed both patients to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. The reports did not release the names of the wounded victims and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP determined that the male driver of the Jeep was under the influence of alcohol when he struck the other car. They soon arrested him for felony DUI.
Officers forced a stretch of State Route 126 to shut down near Travel Village following the wreck. The cause of the Valencia crash is still under investigation.
