Sacramento Woman, 54, Victim in Deadly 2-Car Accident
DATE OF COLLISION: Sunday, December 30th
January 2, 2019- According to the Sacramento Bee, a deadly 2-car crash was reported Sunday morning at or near the crossing of southbound Highway 99 and 47th Avenue.
California Highway Patrol officials responded to the collision which transpired at roughly 2:00 a.m.
1 Badly Injured and Hospitalized
The Sacramento Fire Department was notified and arrived at the scene to assist as one person was sadly pronounced dead while another was badly hurt requiring extrication via fire department personnel.
The deceased victim has been identified as Valerie Nesbit, 54, of Sacramento.
No details have been provided in regards to the cause of the accident itself and what exactly happened.
According to the Sacramento Bee, there is speculation that either drugs or alcohol may have played a factor, however, there has been no confirmation at this time.
CHP will be the agency handling the investigation.
