DUI Driver Valerio Castro, 25, Badly Injures Woman in American Canyon Crash
AMERICAN CANYON, CA (April 26, 2021) – Authorities detained Valerio Castro after a DUI crash in American Canyon.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office determined that the 25-year-old Fairfield was under the influence of alcohol when the wreck occurred.
The accident began when Valerio Castro was driving a Ford Mustang west on Kimberly Drive in American Canyon. At the same time, a Dodge SUV was going north on Highway 29.
Deputies said Valerio Castro turned left into the northbound lanes of the highway and went into the path of the Dodge. In the process, he collided with the SUV at the intersection.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene. They found the female driver of the Dodge who ended up suffering from moderate injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the victim to the Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center for treatment. Officers identified her as a 29-year-old Rodeo resident Sabrina Cross.
The Napa Valley Register reported the wreck on Sunday, April 25, at about 6:08 a.m. A passenger in the SUV did not sustain any wound from the impact.
Meanwhile, officials soon arrested and booked Castro into the Napa County jail on suspicion of DUI causing injury. The American Canyon DUI crash is still under investigation.
