Valerio Estrada, 89, Killed in Petaluma Crash on Lakeville Street
PETALUMA (November 6, 2019) – A man killed after a traffic collision involving a large tricycle along Lakeville Street last month has been identified.
The Sonoma County Coroner’s Office said 89-year-old Valerio Estrada died following the tragic accident on October 23.
The incident began when Estrada was riding the large tricycle with a basket on the back east on Lakeville Street, toward Highway 101.

According to an article published by The Press Democrat, at the same time two semi-trucks were stopped at a red light in front of the In-N-Out Burger restaurant.
Both big rigs then went through the intersection as lights changed and one of them ultimately struck Estrada. The accident occurred at about 12:15 p.m. in the area of the 1000 block of Lakeville Street.
Paramedics responded and pronounced the rider dead at the scene. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the operator of the tractor-trailer that hit Estrada cooperated with the authorities.
