
Valinda crash Temple Mangate
2 Killed, 3 Injured in Valinda Crash at Temple and Mangate Avenues
VALINDA, CA (September 4, 2022) – A crash killed two people and injured several others at Temple Avenue and Mangate Avenue in Valinda.
According to NBC Los Angeles and KTLA News, the tragic accident took place on Sunday evening. Officers reported the wreck at around 5:45 p.m.
The incident happened when a car was going east on Temple Avenue, approaching Mangate Avenue, in Valinda. At the same time, another vehicle was traveling west.
For an unknown reason, the two then collided in the intersection. The California Highway Patrol said both cars caught fire upon impact near the City of Industry.
2 Cars Collide
Witnesses described the vehicles as a Dodge Avenger and a Honda. Paramedics arrived and pronounced the motorist in the eastbound car dead at the scene.
Firefighters freed the driver and three passengers of the other vehicle from the wreckage. The four occupants sustained moderate to major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed them to the Pomona Valley Medical Center for treatment. One of the passengers, a 50-year-old woman, soon died.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Temple and Mangate to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Valinda crash is still under investigation.
