2 Injured After Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 37
DATE OF COLLISION: Wednesday, February 20th
February 20, 2019 – At least two people were injured following a traffic collision involving a big rig on Highway 37 near Sears Point, according to the Press Democrat.
The accident took place on Wednesday at approximately 9:45 a.m.

Preliminary investigation revealed a big rig was traveling eastbound on the highway when, for reasons still under investigation, one of its tires flew off and hit the windshield of a Subaru driving in the same lanes.
The circumstances caused the Subaru driver to swerve onto the opposite traffic, where it reportedly clipped a van. The Subaru continued moving and came to a rest after it slammed into a the guardrail.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene, and found two people in the Subaru hurt as a result of the accident. Both parties were transported to the hospital for treatment of unknown extent of injuries.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was released on the operator of the big rig involved.
The investigators handling the case continue to work to determine liability in the mishap.
