1 Seriously Injured in Vallejo Crash on Interstate 80 Near American Canyon

VALLEJO, CA (November 21, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on the Interstate 80 near American Canyon Road in Vallejo.

A California Highway Patrol dispatch said the accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 6:09 a.m.

According to their incident log, three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Vallejo. They crashed on the westbound Interstate 80, just west of American Canyon Road.

Multiple Vehicles Collide

CHP described the three vehicles as a 2004 silver Mazda 3, an SUV and a big rig. One person became ejected from one of the cars involved as a result of the collision.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim who ended up suffering from major injuries.

Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officers did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of the Interstate 80 to shut down for nearly an hour following the wreck. The cause of the Vallejo crash is still under investigation.
