Motorcyclist Struck from Rear by Possible Hit-and-Run Driver
DATE OF COLLISION: Sunday, July 15th
July 17, 2018- According to the Times Herald, an injurious hit-and-run motorcycle collision left a rider injured over the weekend at the intersection of Curtola Parkway and Lemon Street.
At roughly 11:30 p.m., Vallejo police officials were dispatched to the crash site where a motorcyclist had been struck from behind by an unknown vehicle.
The motorcyclist who was not identified was transported to a local area hospital following the crash with injuries described as moderate.
According to the Times Herald, the driver of the vehicle involved initially may have attempted to flee the scene but was halted by a Vallejo police officer who had been nearby.
At this time, it remains unclear whether or not the driver of the vehicle was arrested or cited.
No further details were or have been provided as the investigation is likely pending.
