Motorcyclist Hurt in Crash on I-80 Freeway in Vallejo
VALLEJO, Calif. (May 5, 2022) — A Vallejo motorcycle crash happened early Thursday on the Interstate 80 Freeway, near the Carquinez Bridge Toll Plaza.
The collision occurred in the eastbound lanes of the I-80 about 6:18 a.m. on May 5th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP officials reported a person riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle, a green Toyota Prius and a black sedan collided due to unknown circumstances.
An off-duty Richmond Police Department officer in a marked unit used the vehicle to block the rider from traffic.
Paramedics transported to help the injured motorcycle rider, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the fully-dressed Harley Davidson motorcycle and the Toyota Prius from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash.
