Motorcyclist Injured in Vallejo Crash on 780 Freeway
VALLEJO (July 16, 2018) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after an alleged DUI hit-and-run crash along the Interstate 780 Freeway late Sunday night, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP received a call about a traffic collision involving a motorcycle on July 15 at approximately 11:45 p.m.
As per the report log, a motorcyclist was struck by a Chevrolet sedan on the westbound 780 Freeway near Lemon Street.
Paramedics responded to the scene and found the rider on the freeway. The victim was then taken to Kaiser Permanente Vallejo Medical Center to be treated for minor injuries.

The name and condition of the patient at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, the driver of the car did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The suspect was located along Lincoln Road and was then arrested.
Authorities believed that the motorist was driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs when the accident occurred. The incident is still under investigation.
