Man Killed in Possible Hit-and-Run Accident on 15 Freeway

September 30, 2018 – One person was killed after being run over by a couple of vehicles on the Interstate 15 Freeway Saturday morning.
According to NBC News, the accident started around 4:15 a.m. when a Volkswagen rear-ended a Dodge Ram on the northbound side of the interstate near Gopher Canyon Road. Officials said the initial crash caused the Volkswagen to stick out partially in the road.
Then, after about four minutes, a passing Dodge Magnum struck the Volkswagen, sending it into a spin. Officials determined the driver of the Volkswagen was ejected during the impact.

As per the article, the man was thrown into the middle of the road, where he was hit by another vehicle. The man was unable to get up, and was run over by a second vehicle. The unidentified driver suffered fatal trauma in the incident, and was sadly pronounced deceased at the location. The name of the fatality remained undisclosed pending notification of next of kin.
Furthermore, the two other parties involved in the wreck were reportedly treated at the hospital.
Shortly after the incident, authorities mentioned the second driver who run over the victim apparently fled the scene. No other information has been yet disclosed on the possible hit-and-run motorist.
All lanes of northbound 15 Freeway were closed for four hours after the deadly accident. Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
