
Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Crash on Valley Center Road Near Sunset
VALLEY CENTER, CA (March 16, 2023) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash on Valley Center Road near Sunset Road in Valley Center.
According to an article published by the ABC 10 News, the accident took place on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the collision on March 15 at around 7:35 p.m.
The incident happened when a male pedestrian was walking in the eastbound lane of Valley Center Road near Sunset Road. At the same time, a Volkswagen Jetta was going east.
Man Hit by Car
The California Highway Patrol said for an unknown reason, the car then struck the man. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found the victim who ended up suffering from major life-threatening injuries as a result of the accident. Medical personnel rushed him to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and his condition at this time. Meanwhile, the woman driving the Volkswagen apparently stopped and stayed at the site.
Officers forced a stretch of Valley Center Road to shut down following the pedestrian collision. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
