1 Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash Near Valley Ford and Tomales Roads
SONOMA COUNTY, CA (June 25, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash near Valley Ford and Tomales roads in Valley Ford.
According to an article published by The Press Democrat, the accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the wreck on June 22 at around 8:14 pm.
The incident began when a 2012 Honda Civic was going east on Valley Ford Road, approaching Tomales Road. At the same time, a green or blue 2002-2010 Nissan Altima was traveling west.
The California Highway Patrol said the Nissan then made a turn onto Tomales. In the process, the front of the Nissan slammed into the left rear of the Honda.
2 Cars Collide in Valley Ford
Both cars sustained moderate to major damage due to the impact of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found a passenger in the Civic hurt as a result of the wreck. They took the victim to the Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for a complaint of pain.
The 65-year-old Valley Ford man driving the Honda ended up unharmed. Officials did not release the names of the victims and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the Nissan did not stop to render aid and fled westbound on Tomales. The sedan obtained damage to the grille, headlights and front bumper cover.
