About 9:30 p.m. last night, the victim was reportedly pushing a stroller containing personal items in traffic lanes on Victory Boulevard between Whitsett Avenue and the Hollywood (170) Freeway. A vehicle struck the woman and then fled the scene without stopping to help her, NBC4 reported.
The vehicle fled eastbound on Victory Boulevard, but there was no description immediately available.
Valley Glen Hit and run Investigation
It appears that the driver who fled the scene of this horrible crash was responsible for this woman’s death. It’s required under California law for a motorist to stop and call for help if a person is injured in a collision.
The family members of the woman who died will have a legal claim against the at-fault driver to recoup their financial losses such as medical expenses and hospital bills, lost future income due to work absence, and pain and suffering.
