VAN NUYS, California (April 15, 2017) — A suspected drunken driver attempted to flee a collision that injured four people in another vehicle Friday morning in the 6700 block of Hazeltine Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The crash took place about 6 a.m. near Archwood Street. The suspect was located by witnesses who saw the crash and police arrested the person and charged them with DUI. Paramedics responded and transported three men in their 30s who suffered critical injuries and a fourth person with serious injuries.
The LAFD had to extricate one of the victims at the scene of the crash. Police are investigating the crash and will determine liability.
