2 Injured, 2-Vehicle Crash in Van Nuys
VAN NUYS, Calif. (July 18, 2023) – Two people were injured Monday night in a two-vehicle car accident at Kester Avenue and Vanowen Street in Van Nuys.
The collision occurred around 7:30 p.m. on July 17th, according to a report by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
One of the two vehicles also crashed through the door of a restaurant near the intersection.
The LAFD sent firefighters to the intersection after police reported a two-vehicle collision, according to fire officials.
They located a man in his 40s and a woman in her 50s with minor injuries. An ambulance transported them to a hospital for treatment of the non-life-threatening injuries, the report said.
Meanwhile, the building sustained minimal damage to its structure, the LAFD said.
It’s unknown at this time what led to the collision, but there is an ongoing investigation to determine fault and if any citations will be made.
