3 Seriously Injured in Van Nuys Crash at Victory Boulevard and Kester Avenue
LOS ANGELES (June 19, 2019) – Several were seriously injured after an alleged DUI crash in the area of Victory Boulevard and Kester Avenue Wednesday morning.
Officials said a gray car and a white SUV collided head-on at the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Kester Avenue in the Van Nuys neighborhood.
According to an article written by CBS Los Angeles, the engine compartment of the gray colored vehicle was shattered in and left in the middle of Victory Boulevard.
The SUV appeared to have ricocheted onto the sidewalk in front of an apartment building, also damaging its engine compartment. The accident occurred just before 5 a.m.

Paramedics responded to the scene and attended to at least two people who were confirmed to have suffered major injuries as a result of the collision. They were taken to hospitals for treatment.
Meanwhile, the female driver of the SUV was believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the wreck. She was expected to be arrested on suspicion of DUI after being treated for major injuries she sustained from the incident.
The names and condition of the wounded victims and the suspect were not immediately disclosed. The incident is still under investigation.
