Man Killed in Van Nuys Hit-and-Run at Sepulveda and Wyandotte
VAN NUYS (September 15, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed after an alleged DUI hit-and-run accident in the area of Sepulveda Boulevard and Wyandotte Street Friday night, according to NBC Los Angeles and The Daily News.
The collision was reported at approximately 9:45 p.m.
As per the reports, police said a man in his 50s was struck by a white 2016 Chevy Cruze near the intersection of Sepulveda Boulevard and Wyandotte Street.
The male pedestrian was knocked to the ground and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Chevy did not stop to render aid and fled before crashing into several parked cars nearby. The suspect, 60-year-old Kenneth Korevaar, was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
The Sherman Oaks man was booked into the Van Nuys jail with a bail set at $50,000. Meanwhile, police believed that a second vehicle may also have hit the victim and alcohol played a role in the incident.
CBS Los Angeles wrote that officials are still looking for the motorist in the other car which was described as a silver-colored 2012 to 2015 Honda Pilot.
