Man Hit and Killed by Vehicle at CVS Parking Lot Tuesday
VAN NUYS, Ca (August 8, 2019) – A deadly pedestrian accident took place Tuesday morning in the parking lot of a CVS on Sherman Way, according to On Scene TV.
Primary reports indicated the California Highway Patrol was alerted around 1:57 a.m. about a crash between the vehicle and a pedestrian. Emergency teams rushed to the crash site, in the 15000 block of Sherman Way, near the Van Nuys area in Los Angeles.
Firefighters arrived at the location and reportedly found an adult male lying in the driveway. Our sources indicated the man was unresponsive and suffering from serious injuries. Subsequently, paramedics performed life-saving measures and quickly transported the victim in an ambulance to the nearest area hospital. The patient sadly died despite the efforts of the medical team.
Meanwhile, the suspect driver stayed at the crash scene and cooperated with the investigation. In a statement to the police, the driver said that he was not aware that the victim was lying on the ground when he accidentally hit him with his pick-up truck.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident and the events leading to the fatal moment.
