Multi-Vehicle Collision on State Route 1 in Vandenberg Village
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 22, 2022) — A multi-vehicle Vandenberg Village crash on Cabrillo Highway 1 happened Tuesday morning near Constellation Road.
A series of collisions took place about 6 a.m. on Feb. 22nd on State Route 1, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials report a gray Ford Maverick pickup truck and a white Hyundai Elantra were among the multiple vehicles involved.
Three vehicles were in the initial crash and a fourth vehicles crashed into the disabled vehicles, the report said.
All vehicles had major damage following the collision.
At least one person suffered major injuries, but there are no further details about those hurt. Paramedics responded to transport those hurt to a hospital.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the crash.
