Vanessa Arce, 37, Killed in San Jose Hit-and-Run at Monterey Road and Curtner Avenue
SAN JOSE, CA (April 30, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed Vanessa Arce at Monterey Road and Curtner Avenue in San Jose.
Police identified the 37-year-old woman in a wheelchair as the victim of the fatal collision which occurred early last month.
The incident happened on April 1 when Vanessa Arce was in her wheelchair crossing Monterey Road at Curtner Avenue in San Jose. At the same time, a vehicle was going south.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene near the Plant shopping center, Oak Hill memorial park and county fairgrounds.
San Jose medical personnel found Vanessa Arce left lying on the ground as a result of the collision. They rushed her to a local hospital, where she died.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the woman and soon fled the area. Officers described the car involved as a white 2004-2010 Mercedes CLS coupe.
The Mercedes sustained visible damage to its front and left side. Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The cause of the fatal San Jose hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
