Vanessa Rangel, 19, Killed in Riverside Crash at Chicago and Linden
RIVERSIDE (December 26, 2018) – A passenger killed after a traffic collision in the area of Chicago Avenue and Linden Street Sunday has been identified as Vanessa Rangel, according to The Press Enterprise.
Riverside County Coroner’s Office said the 19-year-old Riverside woman was a victim of a fatal accident on December 23 at about 1:21 p.m.
As per the article, deputies reported that a 20-year-old driver from Carson was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed north on Chicago Avenue when the motorist failed to stop for a red signal light at West Linden Street.

The speeding car, a Hyundai Accent, then struck a Honda Civic Honda Civic driven by a 23-year-old Riverside man at the intersection.
Officials affirmed that the Accent ultimately slammed into a palm tree nearby.
Rangel, who were riding as a passenger in the Hyundai, was partially ejected from her seat as a result of the crash. She died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the operator of the Accent was transported to the hospital and was listed in critical condition. The driver of the Civic was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The names of the wounded parties were not disclosed. The incident remains under investigation.
