Vardges Aramovich Arakelian, 72, Fatal Victim in Accident on Highway 99 Near Rosedale Highway
Bakersfield, CA (July 22, 2021) – Vardges Aramovich Arakelian, a 72-year-old man, died following a car crash that occurred on Highway 99 on July 19, Monday.
The KGET News reported Vardges Arakelian was behind the wheel of a Dodge traveling south on the highway in Bakersfield. When the Dodge approached the area near Rosedale Highway, Vardges Arakelian failed to slow down to the stopped traffic.
Our sources indicated the Dodge slammed into the rear of the Honda. The force from the impact caused the Honda to hit the rear of the Toyota. In addition, the Toyota was pushed into the rear of a Ford. All four vehicles ended up blocking the construction bypass lane.
The horrible crash took place at about 6:21 p.m.
According to the article published online, first responders found Vardges Arakelian with life-threatening injuries. Paramedics later pronounced the man dead.

Officials added the driver of the Honda sustained injuries from the incident. An ambulance transported the patient to Kern Medical for treatment.
Meanwhile, the other two drivers appeared unharmed after the collision.
