Man Changing Tire Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Highland Avenue
Chula Vista, CA (April 7, 2022) – A deadly traffic accident occurred on State Route 54 Thursday evening, the ABC10 News reported.
Our sources indicated a Toyota Scion was seen parked on the side of the highway at about 5:50 p.m. Officials said the vehicle became disabled in the area near Highland Avenue.
According to the article published online, a male party stepped out of the Scion and attempted to fix the car. For reasons still under investigation, an oncoming Mazda sedan struck the man changing the tire.

Medical personnel later arrived and immediately rendered aid to the victim. Paramedics rushed the male patient to the hospital, where he later sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Authorities mentioned the driver of the Mazda stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
