Bicycle Rider Seriously Injured in Ventura Crash at Victoria Avenue and Olivas Park Drive
VENTURA, CA (June 25, 2021) – A bicycle rider was seriously injured after crash at Victoria Avenue and Olivas Park Drive in Ventura.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:17 p.m.
According to CHP, a vehicle struck the bicyclist for an unknown reason in Ventura. The two collided at the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Olivas Park Drive.
Bicyclist Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Buenaventura Golf Course. They found the cyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Victoria Avenue and Olivas Park Drive to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Ventura crash.
