One Injured in Crash on State Route 126
VENTURA, Calif. (August 15, 2023) — A two-vehicle Ventura car accident happened Tuesday morning on Highway 126 also known as the Santa Paula Freeway, just east of Wells Road.
The collision occurred in the westbound lanes of State Route 126 around 6:14 a.m. on August 15th in the unincorporated Saticoy area, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The drivers of a white Ford F-250 pickup truck and a grey Mitsubishi Outlander were involved. The driver of the Mitsubishi with the last name of Gomez suffered moderate injuries in the collision. Paramedics with the Ventura County Fire Department responded and transported the person to Ventura County Medical Center for follow-up care.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the driver’s Mitsubishi as it was damaged and blocking the No. 2 lane of the roadway.
Investigators are piecing together evidence to determine fault for the car accident on Highway 126 in Ventura.
