Driver, Passenger Hospitalized After Car Crash on Telephone Road Tuesday
Ventura, CA (April 14, 2021) – Two people suffered injuries following a solo-car accident on Telephone Road Tuesday morning.
According to KVTA News, a vehicle with two occupants was traveling at a high rate of speed on Telephone Road in Ventura. When the speeding vehicle approached the area near Transport Road, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The driver careened off the roadway end eventually struck a light pole. Officials said the vehicle ended up slamming into a signal light pole at the southwest corner of Telephone and Transport.
A short time after 4:30 a.m., firefighters arrived at the crash site. They found the driver and passenger trapped in the mangled wreckage of their vehicle. Personnel from the Ventura City firefighters worked extensively to free the victims. An ambulance then transported the two patients to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment.

Additional details on the collision remained undisclosed. Given that, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate whether DUI played a role in the car accident on Telephone Road.
