8 Injured in Ventura Crash on Highway 101 Near Johnson Drive
VENTURA, CA (May 25, 2021) – Several were injured after a car crash on Highway 101 near Johnson Drive in Ventura.
According to an article published by the Ventura County Star, the accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 7:50 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Ventura. They crashed in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 near Johnson Drive.
Multi-Car Collision Near Santa Clara River Bridge
One of the cars involved, a gray sedan, obtained major rear damage. Another vehicle, a pickup truck, sustained moderate front-end damage upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Santa Clara River Bridge. They attended to a total of eight people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to all patients for the unspecified injuries they suffered in the wreck. Officials did not disclose their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound Highway 101 to shut down following the Ventura crash. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision.
