1 Injured in Ventura Crash on Southbound Highway 33
VENTURA, CA (June 2, 2021) – One was hospitalized after car crash on Highway 33 and Stanley Avenue in Ventura.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on June 1 at about 4:25 p.m.
According to their dispatch, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Ventura. They crashed on the southbound side of Highway 33 near Stanley Avenue.
2 Cars Collide Near Stanley Avenue
CHP described the cars involved as a gold Chevrolet pickup truck and a white Pontiac G6. The Pontiac went off the road and sustained major front and rear damage upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene and found one person who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Ventura County Medical Center for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of Highway 33 to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Ventura crash.
