2 Seriously Injured in Ventura County Crash on Highway 33 Near Ojai
VENTURA COUNTY, CA (September 4, 2021) – Two were seriously injured after a crash on Highway 33 near Ojai in Ventura County.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Saturday. Officers reported the accident at about 11: 55 a.m.
According to CHP, a bicyclist and a motorcyclist collided for an unknown reason near Ojai in Ventura County. The two crashed on Highway 33 near the Chorro Grande Canyon.
Bicycle and Motorcycle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found both riders hurt as a result of the collision. Both patients sustained major injuries upon impact.
The victims riding the bicycle and the motorcycle ended up airlifted to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at the time.
CHP forced a stretch of Highway 33, known as Maricopa Highway, to close following the collision. Meanwhile, the cause of the Ventura County crash is still under investigation.
