1 Seriously Injured in Ventura County Crash at Highway 33 and Pine Mountain Ridge
VENTURA COUNTY, CA (September 4, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a crash at Highway 33 and Pine Mountain Ridge Road in Ventura County.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Saturday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 12 p.m.
CHP said a bicyclist and a motorcyclist collided for an unknown reason in Ventura County. They crashed on Highway 33 at Pine Mountain Ridge Road.
Bicycle and Motorcycle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Maricopa and Ojai areas. One of the riders involved sustained major injuries to his face as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at the time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Highway 33 and Pine Mountain Ridge to shut down following the collision. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Ventura County crash.
