1 Seriously Injured in Ventura County Crash on Highway 23 Near Olsen Road
VENTURA COUNTY, CA (January 8, 2022) – At least one was seriously injured after a crash on Highway 23 near Olsen Road in Ventura County.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Saturday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 9:30 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles possibly collided for an unknown reason in Ventura County. They crashed on southbound Highway 23, just south of Olsen Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of Highway 23 to shut down near Olsen following the wreck. The cause of the Ventura County crash is still under investigation.
