3 Injured in Ventura County Crash on Pacific Coast Highway Near Mugu Rock
VENTURA COUNTY, CA (March 19, 2022) – Several were injured after a car crash on Pacific Coast Highway near Mugu Rock.
According to an article published by The Ventura County Star, the tragic accident took place on Friday evening. Officers reported the wreck on March 18 at around 5:15 p.m.
A total of three vehicles collided for an unknown reason on Pacific Coast Highway, southeast of Mugu Rock. They crashed north of Deer Creek Road in Ventura County.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The California Highway Patrol described two cars as a Toyota RAV4 and a Cadillac CTS. Two vehicles obtained heavy damage while the third ended up with moderate damage.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and extricated a trapped occupant from the wreckage. An air ambulance took the patient to the Ventura County Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
Medical personnel treated two other people for the minor injuries they sustained in the incident. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced all lanes of Pacific Coast Highway to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the crash near Mugu Rock is still under investigation.
