Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle at Wells and Darling
Ventura, CA (July 23, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Saturday morning in the area of Wells and Darling Road, the KVTA and Ventura County Star News reported.
Officials said a female party was seen around 12:23 a.m. walking near the intersection of Wells and Darling. According to the article published online, the woman later attempted to walk across the roadway. While in the middle of an unmarked crosswalk, a northbound vehicle struck the pedestrian.
Pedestrian Dies at Hospital After Accident in Ventura
When rescue teams arrived at the location, the found a body lying on the ground. Responding paramedics performed CPR to the victim, then transported her to Ventura County Medical Center for further treatment. Sadly, the 46-year-old woman sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
The driver involved in the unfortunate event reportedly stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine liability in the deadly accident that happened at Wells and Darling Road in Ventura.
