3 Injured in Ventura DUI Crash on Highway 101
VENTURA (MAY 5, 2018) – An alleged DUI crash along Highway 101 left three people injured late Friday night, according to Ventura County Star and On Scene TV.
The accident was reported at around 10:35 p.m. in the area of Arundell Avenue and Market Street.
As per the reports, California Highway Patrol and Ventura police said two he vehicles were going south on Highway 101 when for an unknown reason they collided. Both cars rolled off the highway and plunged down an embankment.
The vehicles landed near the rear of a business in the 1400 block of Arundell Avenue.

A Good Samaritan reportedly pulled the two occupants of one car which overturned onto its roof following the collision. Ventura County Fire Department personnel took the two victims to the hospital with injuries considered as moderate. Their names and condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, officials affirmed that the driver of the other vehicle was detained and later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time.
A third person involved was reportedly treated at the scene and released. It was not specified in the report whether that party was a passenger in one of the cars or the suspected DUI motorist. The investigation is ongoing.
