1 Killed, 2 Injured in Ventura Crash on Highway 101 Near State Beaches Exit
VENTURA (December 30, 2018) – One was killed and two others were injured after a traffic collision along Highway 101 early Sunday morning, according to Ventura County Star and On Scene TV.
The accident was reported around 4:30 a.m. near Emma Wood State Beach.
As per the reports, California Highway Patrol said the accident began when a vehicle rolled over on southbound Highway 101.
An occupant, 22-year-old Oxnard man, a was ejected from the overturned car as a result of the crash. He was struck by two other vehicles in the process pronounced dead at the scene.

The other cars involved reportedly spun out of control, including one which plunged down an embankment.
CHP affirmed that two people from the vehicle which careened down an embankment were hurt and transported by ground ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment.
One of the patients suffered major injuries while the other complained of pain. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, the southbound Highway 101 was forced to shut down at the Seacliff exit near La Conchita. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
