Motorcycle Rider Killed in Ventura Crash on Highway 101 and Highway 126
VENTURA, CA (September 5, 2021) – A motorcycle rider was killed after a crash on Highway 101 and Highway 126 juncture in Ventura.
According to an article published by The Ventura County Star, the tragic accident took place late Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 11 a.m.
The motorcyclist and a passenger car collided for an unknown reason in Ventura. They crashed on northbound Highway 101 along the juncture with eastbound Highway 126.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
A California Highway Patrol dispatch described the vehicle as a Toyota Corolla. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near Telephone Road.
Medical personnel then confirmed that the rider died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt or if they stopped following the wreck. Officers forced a slow lane of northbound Highway 101 to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Ventura motorcycle crash is still under investigation.
