Motorcyclist Injured in Car Accident
VENTURA, Calif. (August 15, 2023) — A Ventura motorcycle accident happened Tuesday morning at Las Posas Road and Pacific Coast Highway.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 6:25 a.m. on August 15th, near NAS Point Mugu, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a green Honda Civic collided with the motorcyclist due to unknown circumstances, the report said. It happened on the bridge over. The motorcyclist went down in traffic lanes, but was conscious and awake despite injuries.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured rider to Ventura County Medical Center. Meanwhile, authorities closed down the southbound Las Posas Road off ramp from PCH.
A tow truck removed the motorcycle from the roadway and police are investigating the cause of the Ventura motorcycle accident on Las Posas Road as well as liability.
The investigation is ongoing.
