Police Chase Ends in Car Accident at Fir and Thompson Boulevard
VENTURA (July 31, 2018) – According to ABC News, a police chase ended in a traffic collision at the intersection of Fir Street and Thompson Boulevard Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred at Fir Street and Thompson Boulevard just after midnight.
As per the article, on-duty officers pursued and allegedly stolen vehicle for about 20 miles around Ventura. When the pursuit approached the Fir and Thompson intersection, the California Highway Patrol officer attempted a PIT maneuver and the suspect crashed at a low speed. Primary reports indicated the police cruiser ended up wedged under the suspect vehicle.
Shortly after the collision, the unidentified suspect was reportedly taken into custody.
It was not immediately clear if there were injuries in the accident. Further investigation on the case is underway.
