Boy, 14, Injured in Ventura Hit-and-Run on Darling Road Saturday
VENTURA (March 17, 2019) – A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was struck by a car while riding a skateboard on Darling Road late Saturday night, March 16.
According to KTLA, the teen was on his skateboard west on Darling Road when he was hit by the vehicle which was headed east.
Police said the victim was left suffering from moderate non-life-threatening injuries. emergency personnel responded to the area and took him to Ventura County Medical Center for further treatment.

The name of the skateboarder was not released, but officials described his condition as stable. The accident was reported in the 10900 block of Darling Road at about 10:16 p.m.
Police added that the driver did not stop and failed to render aid to the boy. The suspect fled the scene.
Authorities are gathering evidence and information that will help them locate the hit-and-run motorist.
