Pedestrian Killed in Vermont Vista Crash Near Century and Figueroa
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 26, 2023) – A crash killed a pedestrian near Century Boulevard and Figueroa Street in Vermont Vista.
According to an article published by the KTLA News, the tragic accident took place early Monday. Officers reported the collision on February 20 at around 2:40 a.m.
The incident happened when a car struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in the Vermont Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles. The man was walking in the middle of the street at the time.
Man Hit by Car
Police said the vehicle hit him near the intersection of Century Boulevard and Figueroa Street. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the victim left lying on the ground.
Medical personnel soon pronounced him dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that the driver did not stop to render aid and fled the area. They described the car as a dark colored sedan.
Officers forced the corner of Century and Figueroa to shut down for a time following the incident. The cause of the fatal Vermont Vista pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
