6 Injured in Vernon Crash at Alameda and Vernon Avenue
Vernon, Los Angeles- According to CBS Los Angeles, a 2-car crash took place Thursday morning at the cross streets of Vernon Avenue and Alameda Street.
The collision which occurred at 1:30 a.m. was triggered by a driver who ran a red light and broadsided the other vehicle.
A total of six were injured in the collision including a 16-year-old girl who was seriously injured.
All six motorists involved were rushed to local area hospitals.
Police officials completely shut down the intersection as they perused the scene and investigated. It remains unclear at this time whether drugs or alcohol played any role in the crash.
