Vicente Gonzalez, 38, Seriously Injured in Acton Head-On Crash on Sierra Highway
ACTON, CA (March 30, 2022) – A fatal head-on crash left Vicente Gonzalez seriously injured on Sierra Highway in Acton.
The California Highway Patrol said the 38-year-old Palmdale man as the victim of the wreck which took place on Wednesday.
The incident happened when Vicente Gonzalez was driving a Nissan south on Sierra Highway in Acton. At the same time, a Honda was going north.
For an unknown reason, the Honda drifted into the southbound lane. The car then slammed head-on into the Nissan, south of San Gabriel Avenue.
Christian Flores, 24, Killed in Wreck
CHP said Vicente Gonzalez sustained major injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Honda, 24-year-old Palmdale resident Christian Flores, died at the scene. My News LA and Hometown Station wrote that the accident occurred at about 4:50 a.m.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Sierra Highway to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the Acton crash is still under investigation.
