Long Beach Crash Investigation
It is unknown at this time what led to this collision, but police are heading up a full investigation and will determine fault. Pedestrians typically have the right-of-way in the roadway and drivers are required to yield to them, however, in areas where there is poor lighting or no marked crosswalk, it can be difficult for drivers to see them. Oftentimes, there can be shared liability for these types of accidents between the city who designed the intersection, the motorist and or the pedestrian.
We offer our heartfelt prayers and condolences to all those affected by this tragedy.
