Victor Herrera, 40, Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver After Argument in Long Beach
LONG BEACH (September 9, 2018) – A man was killed by an alleged hit-and-run driver in the area of Market Street and Orange Avenue late Saturday night, according to The Orange County Register and KTLA.
The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Victor Salvador Herrera, of Long Beach.
As per the reports, police said Herrera was walking near the intersection when he got into an argument with the male driver of a red sedan.
As the argument continued, Herrera was ran over by the car as he was standing in the center median. He was then immediately taken to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Suspect Sokhorn Hor, 29, Arrested For Murder
The motorist did not stop and fled west on Market Street. Police found the vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop, but the car struck a parked car at 10th Street and Obispo Avenue.
The suspect, 29-year-old Sokhorn Hor, was taken into custody and was booked on suspicion of murder. The Long Beach resident is being held at the Long Beach City Jail on $2 million bail. He appeared to be intoxicated when he was arrested.
